Overview:
In this three-part series, you will study the medium graphic novels utilizing fictional graphic novels. The first portion of the course is to walk you through the specific aspects of what and how to teach students about this medium. The second part of the course will focus on how you can use this to teach things like characterization, style, and theme. The third brings it all together with ideas and examples for middle school and high school that utilize both prose and graphic novels. The best part is each participant will receive a free copy of Jerry Craft’s graphic novel Class Act!
